The questions dealers ask us
Straight answers, before you sign anything. If yours is not here, book a demo and ask it live.
- Isn't this just another AI chatbot?
- The newer AI chat tools answer better than the old lead-capture widgets, and that is a bar we clear too. The difference is in what they still won't do. Most are walled off from quoting real payments and current OEM programs, run one channel at a time and forget the shopper between visits, and hand your BDC a name to call rather than a booked appointment with the conversation attached. Railen quotes this month's published programs, remembers the shopper across web, email, and text, and books the visit. The fastest way to see the gap is to watch it run on your inventory next to whatever you have now.
- Will it misquote a price or invent a discount?
- No. Every number comes from your feed or from OEM programs exactly as published. The agent quotes ranges and estimates, marks them as subject to dealership confirmation, and never invents an offer. If it does not know, it books the appointment and lets your team answer.
- What happens to my BDC?
- It gets better mornings. Railen does not replace your people. It hands them booked, context-rich appointments instead of cold callback lists, answers the routine email and text replies that eat their day, and pulls them into live conversations exactly when a human wins the deal. Your BDC spends its time on the work that sells cars: confirming, showing, closing.
- Can shoppers email or text the agent directly?
- Yes. When a shopper replies to any follow-up email or text, the agent answers immediately with full context, at 9 AM or 11 PM. No reply sits unanswered overnight, and nothing lands in a queue.
- We already pay for chat. Do we have to rip it out?
- No. Railen runs alongside what you have today. Most stores end up retiring the old widget once they compare results, but that is your call, on your timeline.
- Can my staff see what the agent is saying to customers?
- Yes, live. And you choose the moments that trigger an alert: high-value shoppers, trade-in mentions, compliance-sensitive questions. From the alert, your team can steer the conversation or take over.
- Who owns the customer and the deal?
- You do. The lead lands in your CRM, tagged as Railen-sourced, with the full conversation attached. We are a lead source you can measure, not a middleman in your deal.
- What if my CRM setup is complicated?
- Then skip it on day one. Bookings arrive in your inbox as clean, readable emails with the full context. Add the ADF integration whenever your provider is ready. Nothing waits on IT.
- Do we have to change our website?
- No. One small script gets added to your site, the same way your current chat tool or analytics tag was installed. Your website provider does it routinely, usually in minutes. Your design, your pages, and your platform stay exactly as they are.
- Is my inventory and customer data safe?
- Your inventory is used to answer your shoppers on your site, and nowhere else. We do not resell it, share it, or surface your cars next to a competitor's. Shopper contact information is collected with consent, used only for your store's follow-up, and never sold. Text follow-up runs on proper opt-in consent with opt-out honored instantly.
- What about compliance? OEM rules? Advertising claims?
- The agent quotes programs as published, never collects credit applications or SSNs, and never makes lender-specific claims. Payment figures are estimates pending your confirmation. Compliance rules are managed centrally, so when a program changes, every store updates at once.
- How fast are we live, really?
- Under 48 hours from signature. You give us your inventory feed URL and where you want leads delivered, and your website provider drops in the script. That is the whole IT project.
